The Asian economic superpower has crowned its 2016 representative to the Miss Universe pageant. The beautiful Li Zhenying is Miss Universe China 2016, who will compete in the Philippines later this year.
The Miss Universe China pageant was established in 2002, the title that year was won by the charming Zhuo Ling. She represented China in its debut in Miss Universe and placed second runner-up to Miss Universe 2002 Oxana Fedorova, who was later on dethroned and replaced by the first runner-up Justine Pasek of Panama. So technically, China is 2002’s Miss Universe first runner-up.
