The most prestigious national beauty contest in Argentina, Miss Universe Argentina, has crowned its 2016 winner. The lucky winner of Miss Universe Argentina 2016 is Estefanía Bernal, a 20-year old dancer from the popular Argentinian TV show “ShowMatch”.
Bernal bested 15 other candidates for the title and the right to represent Argentina in the 65th Miss Universe pageant scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines on January 29.
This year’s edition of Miss Universe Argentina saw a new milestone. The pageant has been televised live by TNT with a good production. In fact, the winner received a lot of media attention, which her predecessors were not able to enjoy.
Miss Universe Argentina has been held since 1954 and has already produced one Miss Universe winner. Argentina has also fared well in the Big 5 pageants, with its two Miss World winners and one Miss International crown.
